If Doing is King, Then Receiving is Queen:
7 Ways to Reclaim Your Inner Balance

From day one, most of us are trained that doing is King.

We’re praised for our productivity, measured by our performance, and taught that momentum is everything. Action becomes our identity. Our to-do lists become our lifelines. If we’re not checking boxes, we worry we’re falling behind.

But if doing is King, then receiving is Queen.
And she’s long overdue for her crown.

The Sacred Art of Receiving

Receiving is not passive. It’s a powerful, creative, conscious act of honoring the divine feminine energy within each of us—regardless of gender. It’s the part of us that listens, intuits, replenishes our inner well, collaborates, and allows. When we activate this energy, we don’t just survive the chaos of modern life—we thrive. We receive intuitive guidance, clarity, support, higher creativity, and the aligned next step.

The problem? Most of us have lost sight of how to receive.

We’ve been so conditioned to push, strive for perfection and control that we’ve forgotten how to pause and create receptive space to manifest. But this pause—this sacred moment of stillness—isn’t just spiritual. It’s also neurological gold.

The Science Behind the Sacred: Why Pausing Works

When we pause and shift from doing to being, we calm our nervous system. In a world wired for overdrive, our sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) is often overactivated. A conscious pause helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system—our rest and digest mode—which allows the body to reset, restore, and regulate.

But there’s more: your brain is also paying attention.

Meet the Reticular Activating System (RAS). This tiny, mighty network in your brainstem acts like a filter. It decides what to notice based on what you believe, focus on, or tell it is important.

If you’re constantly focused on lack, stress, or hustle, the RAS will highlight more evidence of that in your world.

But if you consciously shift your focus to gratitude, possibility, and abundance—guess what? The RAS will start pointing those things out too. What you see is what your brain thinks you want more of.

Receiving is a declaration to your brain and body:

“I am safe. I trust myself. I allow support. I am open to divine orchestration.”

7 Soulful Ways to Reclaim Your Power to Receive

These aren’t just rituals. They’re revolutionary micro-moments of reclaiming your balance, your brilliance, and your connection to your higher self.

1. Create a Sacred Pause in Your Day
Even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Step away from your desk, phone, or task list. Sit comfortably, feel your feet on the floor. Wiggle your toes. Look around and whisper a quiet “thank you” for three things you see. Gratitude opens the portal to receiving. It grounds your nervous system in the present moment and reminds your brain: There is beauty here. I am present.

2. Breathe Into Balance
Take three deep, intentional breaths. On each inhale, silently say: gratefully relaxing and receiving. On each exhale: gratefully giving in balance with receiving. Let each breath be an affirmation. Imagine a gauge in your mind that reads “Receiving Level: 100%.” You don’t have to earn it—you simply allow it.

3. Walk Away to Tune In
If you’re stuck in a goal, project, decision, or challenging situation, try something radical: step away. Even for just a few hours or a day. Shift your focus to something enjoyable, playful, or purely creative. Let the pause work on your behalf. It’s often in the absence of action that the most aligned answer finds us.

4. Visualize the Divine Feminine Within
Imagine a color that feels soft, powerful, and nourishing. Maybe it’s rose gold, lavender, deep ocean blue, or golden sunlight. This color is your divine feminine essence. See it pouring into your crown, saturating your entire body, and flowing down to your toes. Imagine this color in an egg-shaped energy field around you. Let it remind you: you don’t need to push—receiving is your superpower.

5. Say Hello to Mother Nature
Step outside. Greet a tree, a flower, a patch of grass. Yes, really. Let yourself soften. Nature is the embodiment of divine feminine energy—abundantly creative and nourishing, always receiving what she needs to grow. Ask her to show you the path of grace.

6. Give to Yourself While You Do
True balance isn’t about choosing doing or being. It’s about giving to yourself while doing. As you work, communicate, help others, or run errands, ask yourself: What can I give to myself in this moment? A deeper breath? Inner joy? A cup of tea? A stretch? These micro-gifts build an inner harmony that rewires the nervous system to feel safe, supported, and aligned.

7. Turn Love Inward
Think of someone you love deeply—a friend, a pet, a child, a partner. Now take that exact love vibrational frequency and imagine giving it to yourself. Picture it as a warm, radiant color pouring from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. Wrap yourself in that energy. Let your RAS know: this is what I envision receiving more of.

Final Thought: Make Space to Receive

The truth is, you are already enough. You’ve already done enough. The answers you seek, the guidance you crave, and the inspiration you desire are all waiting in the stillness—not the striving.

When you pause, you power up.

When you receive, you remember.

When you soften, you strengthen.

So give yourself inner permission to receive.
Celebrate it.
Welcome it.
Embody it.

The Queen is back. 👑
